A multimedia lecture created by Grandmaster Flash, a Forefather of hip-hop music and culture. This Masterclass tells the story of his creation of the “Quik Mix Theory”. This science gave birth to cutting, scratching, sampling and the music bed for the rapper. This is the true evolution of hip hop from its roots in the South Bronx in the 1970s to its global influence today. Through a combination of live DJing, storytelling, video projection, and interactive elements, Grandmaster Flash takes the audience on a journey through the beginnings of hip-hop, highlighting its cultural significance and impact on society then and now.

They create an environment of inclusivity that promotes discussion of mental health, substance recovery, representation, and social equity in addition to all things music.
